Good Morning Team, 

I hope that everyone faired well with the remnants of Hurricane Ida and that everyone is safe and sound. I wanted to reach out about a fellow team member who needs our support. Lani was an 8 and under swimmer this past season and she was unfortunately diagnosed with a very rare immunodeficiency and I wanted to share a message from her mom, Ashleigh Walter:

"This summer we found out Lani has a rare immunodeficiency called Dock8. There are only 250 people worldwide currently diagnosed with the deficiency. The cure for Dock8 is a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, Lani does not have a perfect match in the bone marrow registry. I partnered with Be The Match to raise awareness about donation and joining the registry. We set up a Facebook group called 'Lani's Journey to Good Health - Dock8 Deficiency'.  A GoFund me has also been set up for her to help with covering costs." -Ashleigh Walter

We are hoping that as a team you will find it in your heart to join the Facebook page, donate to the GoFundMe, and also register for Be the Match. You can get a simple test swab kit to see if YOU could be the match to help our sweet Lani. I registered last night and it was a very quick and easy process.
