    Hatboro vs Penbryn swim meet

Meet info for Hatboro vs. Penbryn - Wednesday 6/30

Our first meet is an HOME meet. Please arrive at the pool by 5:45 for warm-ups.

Also, it is very important to make sure you have RSVP’d (yes or no) for your swimmer’s attendance on the website ASAP. The coaches need this information to accurately complete the line-up for the meet. On the website, click on Meets and Events and then click on Meet Entry for each swim meet. You can then update your swimmer's attendance status by clicking on EDIT.

Volunteering for meets - This is a great time to also sign up for the 3 minimum required meets.  We only have a couple spots open for this week, but there are lots of available spots open for the future meets.  If you have any questions about a job or are interesting in training for a certain position, please ask!  We would love to train some of our new parents in some of these volunteer jobs!

Items to bring to meet: suit, swim cap, 2 pairs of goggles, 2 towels for warm-up and meet, sunscreen, bugspray, sweatshirt/pants (it can get chilly when wet after the sun goes down), water bottles to stay hydrated, chairs, entertainment (cards, book, games, etc. for in between events), Sharpie (to write your child's name, event #, heat #, position on his/her arm).

Snack Stand - Our team does run a snack stand during the meets.  There will be hot dogs, pizza and other snack foods, candy and  drinks. If you would like to donate a baked good item to sell (ex. brownies already cut and pre-wrapped to sell) or purchase other snack items, please drop them off at the pavilion when you first arrive at the meet. For Saturday morning meets we will need items like donuts and muffins. We do NOT need boxes of bars (Nature Valley etc).  Thank you!

During the meet, please make sure your child is staying in the area where the families are sitting. This is important so that the stagers can find your child to get them ready for their events. Please do not let them go to the playground during the meet. Also, please make sure to clean up your area and dispose of all trash at the end of the meet.

For new families – There will be many parents there to answer questions and to help you. Please do not hesitate to ask questions as we all know a swim meet can be confusing until you know the process.

Lastly, the coaches want to inspire good sportsmanship! They encourage the swimmers to participate in the team cheers, and cheer each other on during the meet. The louder the crowd, the more exciting their swim! Swimmers are there to try their best to improve their own times and not focus on swimmers that come in ahead of them. As swimmers improve throughout the season, they will be receiving personal best ribbons for each stroke that they improve their times. Please look for these ribbons in the family folders boxes.

We are looking forward to a fun and exciting first meet!

    GO STORM!!
