Welcome Hatboro Storm Families!

Our Hatboro Pool Parents Association (HPPA) and coaches are eager to begin the 2018 season. Online Registration is now open at our new website hatborostorm.swimtopia.com . There will be a parent meeting on Sunday, June 3^rd at 7:00pm at the Hatboro Borough Hall at 414 S. York Rd.

Registration consists of two steps.

1. Complete the online team registration form and pay the team fees. Team fee structure is: $40 for 1st child, $20 for 2nd child, $10 for each additional child. There is a $10 late fee after 6/10/18. There is an additional cost of $25 per FAMILY for the car wash fundraiser. You will receive 5 car wash tickets that you may sell at $5 each to get your money back.

2. Each swimmer MUST have a pool membership. Go to the Hatboro Borough Hall to obtain a seasonal membership OR for a lower cost the borough offers a "Swim Team Only" membership. A “swim team only” membership only allows a swimmer to attend all swim meets and all swim team activities. DO NOT purchase both a “swim team only” and a seasonal membership. A membership needs to be obtained before swim team season starts on June 18, 2018. Membership cards should be brought to the first week of practice for confirmation. If your swimmer is a Hatboro Memorial Pool Lifeguard they do not need to purchase a pool membership card.

Team Suit - Our team suit this year will be the TYR Sagano in Red. The girls suit is the DSA7 Diamondfit 610 Red and the boys suit is SSA7 Blade Slice Jammer 610 Red. Personal Best Swim Shop will be selling these suits at our team’s time trials at the pool on Friday, June 22^nd, 7:30-9:30 AM. They also have stores located at 411 Doylestown Rd, Montgomeryville and 2844 Street Road, Bensalem. Please call ahead to make sure they are open and have the suit in stock. You are not required to buy this suit. Swimoutlet.com is also a great place to shop for suits and goggles. Swimmers should have at least two pairs of goggles for the season.

Team Practice

Our team’s first practice is Monday, June 18^th. We have four different practice groups: Thunder(pre-team), Lightning/Gray, Red and Black. The coaches will evaluate swimmers and place them in these groups. During the season, swimmers may move from one group to another depending on their progress. Pre-team swimmers will be evaluated twice each week (the day before a meet) to determine if they will be eligible to swim at the meet.

First day of practice – Monday, June 18th

All returning swimmers should show up to the practice they attended last year- we will make adjustments during the first week.

All new swimmers 11 & older (as of June 1st) will be evaluated at 8:30 and will be told which practice to attend starting Tuesday the 19^th.

All new swimmers 10 & under (as of June 1st) will be evaluated at 9:30 and will be told which practice to attend starting with Tuesday the 19^th.

Swim Meets – The team’s schedule is posted on the website. Swimmers must have been part of the scheduled line-up in at least 2 dual meets during the season to be eligible for Championships. A parent or guardian is required to volunteer at least 2 of the regular season meets. Volunteer jobs are described on the website.
