Hi Storm Families,

Tomorrow night’s meet, July 13th, is an AWAY meet.  It is taking place at Crestmont Pool located at Reservoir Road and Rubicam Ave in Willow Grove, PA 19090 (across from Willow Grove Mall’s Cheesecake Factory).

• Arrive at 5:30 to 5:45PM so we can begin warm ups promptly. Our staging volunteers need the swimmers to stay close by so they do not miss their event.
• No bake sale goods need to be donated since this is an AWAY meet, and we do not host the snack stand or the 50/50 raffle.
• APPAREL ORDERS are in!  These will be available for pick up at the meet.
• Fun night for our kids (siblings included) is scheduled for this Thursday, 6PM.  It is a Minute to Win It night.  A couple of games will be set up on the lawn and the stopwatches will be used to see how much can be accomplished in a quick minute.  The HPPA will be providing a snack. Forecasted weather is looking dismal, so I will be in touch if this has to be rescheduled.

Thank you to all of the families that helped to make the Hatboro Storm Car Wash a success!  The money helps to fund the purchase of team gifts, gifts for coaches, end-of-season party, treats at events for swimmers, trophies/medals and the necessities for our team (a new lane line reel and adult kick boards were purchased this season and a new starter system is on the WISH LIST). A big thank you to Tim Enge for organizing the morning event so it can be fun and safe for our swimmers.

Coach Mel is ecstatic with the $305 dollars raised to help the kids that are in need in Appalachia.  This excellent mission was started by her husband’s father and mother. We are grateful for all of the support, and the kids had a blast doing fun laps and even a cannon ball contest!

We lucked out with good weather on Sunday for the car wash and our Italian Food Night.  Thank you, Carolyn Kushner, for coordinating the event.  We appreciate all of the parents that helped to set up and clean up that night.

• Beef and Beer Quizzo Night tickets are available on the team website (these are limited and feel free to invite friends, too)!  It will be held at the Willow Grove VFW. Our coaches ask about 10 trivia questions per round and each table of adults attending is a team.  There are about 6 rounds with a prize given to the winning table for each round.  Points are tallied at the end of the rounds and one table earns a grand prize!!  This is an optional fun night out for parents.
