Hi Storm Families,

Quizzo night is coming up this week!  The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 21st at 7PM to 11PM at the Willow Grove VFW.  It is a beef and beer, and our coaches will be asking the Quizzo questions that evening.  It was a lot of fun last year.  There is still time to order your tickets at our website, or you may pay at the door that evening.  It is for parents, friends and family 21 years of age or older. 

It is time to be thinking about CHAMPS.  We have league top time results at the Liberty League website.  You can access this site via our team’s website to see if your swimmer is placed in the top 25 for the league in any events.

You will be receiving Champs envelopes tomorrow in your family information boxes.  Each swimmer is to pick 2 individual events they would want to swim in at Champs.  Look at their times and talk to your swimmers.  Freestyle Relay event is only held at A Champs.  The coaches will let your swimmers know if he/she is in the freestyle relay for A Champs.

1.  B Champs takes place on Wed., July 27th at Conklin (arrive at 5:45PM)  All swimmers are eligible for B Champs unless your swimmer has not been able to participate in at least 2 swim meets this season.
2.  A Champs is held on Saturday, July 30th at Crestmont Pool (arrive at 7:45AM unless otherwise instructed by the coaches).  Swimmers must quality for A CHAMPS.  They must be in the top 12 for their age group for the league in the event.  The top 13th and 14th swimmers are asked to be alternates at A CHAMPS.  They may come to the meet, yet may not swim if all the swimmers are present to swim. 

Some swimmers may swim one event for B Champs and one event for A champs, plus the freestyle event for A Champs.  If your swimmer qualifies as an alternate for A Champs they can still swim in that event at B Champs, and then may also swim as the alternate at A Champs.  Please return the Champs envelopes by Friday morning practice at the latest!  The coaches and our HPPA will be at a seed meeting this weekend with the other team coaches and parent reps.  We will communicate which events/champs your swimmer will be in on Monday.
