Hi Storm Families,

I hope that everyone enjoyed their time off this weekend.  Congrats to all of our Storm swimmers!  I have attached the Champs events and will have these posted tomorrow at the pool.  Every parent that has a child swimming in A or B or both champs event/s should be available to volunteer.  Those volunteer positions are sent over from the league, and you will be receiving your assignments shortly.  We are in charge of A champs.  We need to set up and clean up there.

There will be three food trucks coming to B Champs (pricier than the hot dog and pizza food fare that are usually at meets, but tacos and other food will be sold by the trucks at B Champs taking place this Wednesday night at Conklin Pool located at 15 Church Rd. in Elkins Park, PA (arrive by 5:15 at the latest since parking will be difficult, and there are many swimmers that need to get in the pool to warm up).

Practices are DIFFERENT beginning on Wednesday this week:

• Monday and Tuesday:  same practices as usual
• Wednesday:
  • ​8 to 9AM all swimmers that are qualified for A champs individual events                        
    (not including A relay swimmers at this practice on Wednesday A champ practice)​
  • 9  to 10AM (11 and older B champs swimmers)
  • 10 to 10:50  (10 and under B champs swimmers)
• Thursday and Friday:
  • 8 to 9AM (11 and older A champs swimmers * including relay swimmers) 
  • 9 to 10AM (10 and under A champs swimmers *including relay swimmers)

Alternates are the 13th and 14th swimmers in the event for A CHAMPS.  They come to A champ practices, and at A Champs they come and may have the opportunity to swim, and they may not.  However, the alternates are also able to swim for that event at B Champs and that means they have the top time for the event for B Champs.  

Team party this Sunday night:  the pizzas are ordered (I did order 3 Gluten Free for the families that have ordered those in the past). There will be a sign-up sheet in the entrance to the pool exactly where the pancake and Italian Food Sign-Up sheets were.  Families with last names A to N are to sign up to bring appetizers or salads and families M to Z are to sign up to bring a dessert.  All families bring their own drinks.  

Dinner will start at 5PM and Awards at 5:30PM.  Pool will be open to just Storm swim team from 6 to 8PM.
